On your marks, point and shoot!
This year, many champions were present at the Breizh Pétanque Cup on the border between Ille et Vilaine and Morbihan in Maxent. In the middle of the countryside, in the middle of 270 hectares of park and forest, what better place for this event?
This first edition, from 09 to 11 August 2022, brought together world champions, trainees and spectators for 3 days of intense competition, relaxation and good humour.
The Léquinais site was the base camp for this event.
- Its reception room is ideal for gala dinners and cocktail parties, to enjoy a convivial cocktail, concocted by Matto Traiteur.
- The 50 m² barnum has been transformed into a refreshment area run by the volunteers.
- The champions were able to take advantage of the comfort of the gîtes and hotel rooms within the domain.
- Its car parks were used as a petanque court.

Internship
40 trainees had the opportunity to try or improve their skills in pétanque, under the guidance of the champions. For all the amateurs of this sport it was the occasion to know all its secrets in the form of playful workshops.
Competition
The next two days, Wednesday and Thursday, were devoted to the competition between the champions (Philippe Quintais, Christophe Sarrio, Christophe Hureau, Stéphane Robineau, Damien Hureau, Fabrice Riehl, Michel Loy, Julien Lamour) and the partners. After eight games and the semi-final, the pairing of Xavier Ruiz and Stéphane Robineau won 13-10 against Nicolas Bataille (young French champion in adapted sports) and Damien Hureau. Despite the stifling heat, the spectators were able to enjoy the show in the shade on the site's wooded grounds.
Relaxation, Galette and cold drinks
The catering by My Galette allowed everyone to refuel with succulent pancakes and sausages. A tombola, organised over the three days, allowed eight lucky people to leave with a jersey of a great champion.
